At RoseMary's Heavenly Pound Cakes made by Jenée, we are passionate about delivering the authentic taste of Heaven, one flavorful savor at a time! Our story begins in 2010 in Aunt Rosemary Stepp's basement in Detroit, Michigan, where Aunt Rose taught me and a few family members the creation of her famous homemade lemon pound cake. Unfortunately, Aunt Rose's heavenly homegoing took place in 2016. Years later, while working in the corporate world, a colleague tasted the legendary lemon pound cake and began requesting orders, inspiring me to create RoseMary's Heavenly Pound Cakes made by Jenée in Aunt Rose's memory.
The name "RoseMary's" honors both Aunt Rose and Mrs. Mary Rutherford-Howard, my mother, who assisted throughout this journey—hence the unique capital letters. "Heavenly" came from a young girl who, upon tasting the lemon pound cake, exclaimed to her mother, "Wow, her cake tastes heavenly!"
As demand grew, our signature lemon cake became a sensation, featured in restaurants and ordered for countless special occasions. Soon it was joined by other mouthwatering flavors: Strawberry (perfected with my mother Mary Rutherford-Howard's expertise for its sweet-tart sensation), Chocolate (enhanced with my grandmother Antrice Stepp-Rutherford's guidance for its rich goodness), and Vanilla (created with my own unique blend for that perfect buttery taste).
